Selle Italia carvings

Regarding the sizes, the S saddles are all quite narrow, that is, with a seat point between 131 and 136 mm wide while the L ones go from 145 mm up to a maximum of 150 mm.

The number associated with the size (1, 2 or 3) identifies the presence or absence of the central cut (Flow technology): a special anatomical cut that allows to "unload" the seat point, guaranteeing excellent comfort through greater flexibility in the central part of the saddle.

S1 and L1 saddles: suitable for riders without great pelvic rotation, they do not have the center cut and therefore do not need to relieve the pressure and friction created in the saddle.

S2 or L2 saddles: central cut of reduced dimensions. Suitable for cyclists with a medium pelvic rotation that produces pressure and friction during pedaling.

S3 or L3 saddles: refers to saddles with a large center cut, recommended for cyclists with high pelvic rotation, which create a lot of pressure and friction on the saddle surface.

With size 3, there are also saddles with SuperFlow technology, that is to say with an even larger center cut, for cyclists who prefer a more comfortable feeling.
