When developing the Cosmic SL 45 Disc carbon rear wheel, Mavic placed great emphasis on optimal aerodynamics. In this way, you gain decisive seconds over longer distances and with wind!

With a focus on minimizing air resistance, the NACA-inspired rim profile of the high-end Cosmic carbon rim has been increased to 45mm. The goal was to increase speed with as little effort as possible and stay safe on the track even in crosswinds.

To limit the additional weight of the drop-down center rim, the rim base design has also been revised. This also makes mounting and demounting of the tire easier. Thanks to Mavic's UST tubeless technology, you also benefit from less weight, better rolling resistance and grip in the tubeless setup, while at the same time reducing the risk of punctures.
Double-butted aerodynamic spokes also help reduce weight. They not only make the impeller aerodynamic, but also torsionally resistant and robust. The Infinity hub deck also optimizes stiffness and power transfer while improving spoke tension. Together with the Instant Drive 360 ​​freewheel with 9 ° pressure angle and automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto), the Mavics Cosmic SL 45 Disc is a system impeller that offers fast propulsion and high durability.
