The Switchblade ™ MIPS is our new full face ASTM charted downhill helmet with removable chin guard. The entire Switchblade is optimized for downhill, which is why it is certified to CPSC, EN-1078, and ASTM-1952-DH with and without the chin guard.
The pad is easy to remove, simply press the buttons under the chin bar, turn up and remove, it is just as easy to reinstall.
The Switchblade MIPS features the new Roc Loc® Air DH fit system, which has a bumper around the dial to prevent accidental adjustments if your helmet touches your backpack or neck, all while keeping you cool.
When the chin guard is detached, the wind tunnel cheek pad ventilation adds even more cooling energy as you begin to climb. Additionally, the full cut style gives this helmet an aggressive look and provides ASTM certified coverage even when the chin guard is removed.
When your bike ride is all downhill, your helmet should be too, and the MIPS Switchblade is the only removable chin guard helmet that is truly designed for the dense.
