The new Brooks Hyperion Elite 3 are flying shoes with a carbon fiber plate, especially suitable for competitions and quality training.
With an excellent fit and comfort, an adaptive foam midsole with good cushioning and reactivity, and light for a model with a carbon fiber plate, it is the shoe that every runner wants to beat their times.
The sole has only a few small reinforcements in the heel area and also in the metatarsal area up to the toe. Their profile is very low and with a soft density, since the objective is to achieve a good grip rather than durability.
This sole guarantees excellent traction and grip on different training surfaces. The midsole is made entirely of DNA Flash foam, which provides good cushioning and great response capacity.
Flash incorporates nitrogen capsules through a process in which, by combining high temperature and pressure, liquid nitrogen is transformed into a gas and ends up encapsulated within the foam. In this way, lightness and elasticity are gained.
The amount of foam present is very large, since the profiles of the shoe are very high, especially in the heel with 35 mm. Inside the foam, is the most characteristic element of the model and that differentiates it from the Hyperion Tempo, the carbon fiber plate.
This is complete, from heel to toe, which allows great responsiveness due to the rebound effect. The plate on this model feels stiffer than other brands' models, as when you try to bend it with both hands, the flexing that is achieved is minimal.
The upper has been completely renewed with a new engineered mesh called QuicKnit, which has more structure than the previous one and provides a better fit to the runner's foot.
The tongue is attached to the rest of the mesh both on the front and on the outer side of the shoe, while curiously, on the inner side it is only partially sewn to an elastic skirt that is inserted in the arch area. .
