Thermal shorts are becoming increasingly popular and are clearly replacing the classic pirate shorts. For professional cyclists, anything other than the racing months is "preparation season." The proliferation of photos in training stages in places like the Canary Islands, Mallorca or Qatar, usually gives us the feeling that the competition season is always just around the corner. Professionals usually equip themselves in these stages with shorts, pirates or leggings. In the cafe, with the 'grupeta' companions you proclaim that "I dress like the 'pros', I don't wear leggings." For this reason, the most racing cyclists tend to wear conventional shorts up to the limit of thermal comfort –around 6-7ºC–, to maintain that racing look, of a runner always ready for the race ...

We have exploited the technological limits of high-density fabrics. We have produced a fabric with a very compact outer face that replicates the anti-wind characteristics of the typical double layer membrane, but without the use of the membrane. This way we maintain the breathability and natural touch of the fabric. This extremely compact fabric, in addition to reducing the volume of the garment, also increases the level of water repellency, making it more wind resistant than a conventional shorts with the addition of this type of treatment. The internal face of the garment has the classic thermal brushing for protection against the cold.

As for the pad, we have the new Super Molded (SM) for this model. A high-performance model, designed to offer more comprehensive support while pedaling and a solid feel when riding. The SM behaves in a very versatile way, ideal both for the “more upright” amateur rider and for those who adopt a more racing and time trial position, lying on their handlebars.

This new high-performance Super Molded pad has been developed by the specialized company Elastic Interface Cytec in Italy.
