Technical Features
Midsole and Cushioning
The Wave Sky 9 features a dual foam midsole: on the top layer, the nitrogen-infused Enerzy NXT technology provides responsiveness, bounce, and softness; underneath, an EVA base offers structural stability and lasting support. The profile reaches up to 44 mm at the heel and 38 mm at the forefoot, with a 6 mm drop, ensuring a cushioned yet firm experience.
Plate
No plate included; the geometry based on the iconic Wave technology provides the necessary stability and support through the wavy design in the midsole.
Upper Details
The upper is made with Smooth Stretch Woven fabric that stretches horizontally without losing vertical structure, ensuring a snug fit, enhanced breathability, and comfort. Additionally, over 50% of the textile is made from recycled materials.
Sole
The sole incorporates X10 carbon rubber in high-wear areas to improve traction and durability, especially at the heel. The wider platform (up to 5 mm more than in previous versions) adds stability to each step.
