Selle Italia sizing

Regarding sizes, S saddles are all quite narrow, i.e. with a seating point between 131 and 136 mm wide, while L saddles range from 145 mm up to a maximum of 150 mm.

The number associated with the size (1, 2 or 3) identifies the presence or absence of the central cut-out (Flow technology): a special anatomical cut-out that allows pressure to be relieved from the seating area, guaranteeing excellent comfort through greater flexibility in the central part of the saddle.

S1 and L1 saddles: suitable for riders without a large pelvic rotation; they do not have a central cut-out and therefore do not need to relieve the pressure and friction created on the saddle.

S2 or L2 saddles: reduced-size central cut-out. Suitable for riders with medium pelvic rotation who generate pressure and friction while pedalling.

S3 or L3 saddles: saddles with a large central cut-out, recommended for riders with high pelvic rotation, who create a lot of pressure and friction on the saddle surface.

In size 3, saddles with SuperFlow technology are also available, i.e. with an even larger central cut-out, for riders who prefer a greater feeling of comfort.
