Technical features
The Altra Mont Blanc Speed is the ideal shoe for tackling fast trail races, mountain marathons and demanding ultras. Its design balances cushioning, grip and lightness with technologies that enhance every step, even on technical terrain or with pace changes.
Dual-layer cushioning for every stride
The midsole is composed of two high-performance foams. In direct contact with the foot is Altra EGO™ PRO, an ultra-light, responsive foam. Just below is Altra EGO™ MAX, designed to provide a softer, more comfortable feel without sacrificing energy return. This combination delivers a balanced experience, ideal for long distances.
Thanks to the Balanced Cushioning™ platform, the foot sits level between heel and forefoot, which improves running technique and reduces impact.
Technical, breathable and flexible upper
The upper is made from single mesh, a thin material that offers excellent breathability and good flexibility without sacrificing durability. The Standard FootShape™ fit allows the foot to maintain its natural alignment and stability even on technical descents.
Vibram grip for technical terrain
The Vibram® LiteBase Megagrip outsole is the perfect ally for dry or wet terrain. It offers unmatched traction and superior durability. In addition, LiteBase technology reduces sole thickness by 50% and weight by 30% without compromising grip or durability. Perfect for demanding, fast mountain races.
