Magnetic resistance used by champions

It uses Power Mag technology, the magnetic resistance used by champions. It is a magnetic unit with 8 resistance levels selectable via a lever mounted on the handlebar. The new 8-level resistance system guarantees a wide range of achievable power levels. It is the same system used by World Tour Pro Teams. A cyclist can perform any type of workout, from cadence-based training to power-based training at low speed.

Connectivity

The Elite Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ trainer belongs to the smart home trainer category. Data transmission is wireless and uses ANT+™ (power, speed and cadence) and Bluetooth Smart communication protocols. Training sessions are managed through the My E-Training app for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, which creates varied and stimulating indoor training sessions. The Elite Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ can also be used with other indoor cycling platforms (which usually require a subscription), such as Zwift, Bkool, TrainerRoad, The Sufferfest, Bikevo, Kinomap and many more.

Elastogel roller

The red roller (the area where the wheel rests) is made of Elastogel (30 mm in diameter), the exclusive polyurethane compound developed and tested by Elite. This improves tire grip, reduces noise from roller/tire friction by 50% and tire wear by 20%.

Effectiveness of the Crono system

The exclusive Crono compass system has been designed and developed by Elite over many years and faithfully reproduces how a bicycle behaves on the road. The athlete’s weight has a direct effect on the roller, based on real road pedalling mechanics. This affects the power output. For example: at a speed of 30 km/h, a 90 kg rider produces a different power output than a 60 kg rider. It is not the unit that adjusts to the tire, it is the tire that positions itself optimally on the resistance unit.
