Hierro v9: maximum protection and grip for your trail adventures
Redesigned from scratch, the New Balance Fresh Foam X Hierro v9 focuses on providing comfortable and safe trail journeys, combining premium cushioning with Vibram traction and a robust structure.
Indulgent and stable cushioning
The midsole uses double-density Fresh Foam X: a soft top layer for comfort, and a firm bottom layer for stability on uneven terrains. The footbed “sinks” into a bathtub-like design that enhances fit and protection.
Robust protection and functional upper
The breathable mesh upper with printed overlays includes Toe Protect technology on the toe cap and a gusseted reinforced tongue to prevent debris entry, along with extra padding in the collar and tongue for added comfort.
Vibram Megagrip outsole with aggressive lugs
The Vibram Megagrip outsole features 6 mm lugs with a new pattern to improve traction on wet, rocky, and mixed surfaces. It offers effective grip both on trails and gravel routes or compact paths.
