Through careful study of pedaling dynamics, Shimano has designed the RC9 with materials specifically tailored to the key features needed in each part of the shoe. This includes non-stretch Kuraray Rovenica, Teijin Nanofront and PU laminated mesh materials, all deployed to provide the best foot stability, perfect ventilation, minimal weight and minimal energy loss when pedaling.

Shimano Dynalast

The RC9s continue in Shimano's Dynalast design ethos. A 360-degree wraparound upper hugs the foot and offers a stable pedaling platform for efficient power transfer throughout your pedal stroke. You also see an optimized toe-spring section that ensures efficient and powerful pedaling with reduced foot fatigue over long distances. The toe box shape has also benefited from further refinement and the improved design now offers comfort for a wider range of foot shapes.
